Christina Stein
Christina welcomes you to view her words here.
Before moving to the middle of Kansas with her boyfriend Chad in 2007, Christina Stein had been a 22-year-long resident of Michigan. Christina graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, receiving a social work degree with a minor in multi-cultural diversity. During time spent at Ferris, Christina was an intern at Senator Carl Levin's office, and Degage Ministries, a homeless shelter in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Christina practiced social work at Saint Francis Community Services in Great Bend for two years, and for a short period of time in Illinois.
Back in the big mitten (also known as Michigan), Christina has a fantastic, politically-minded family that first sparked her interest in politics and civil rights.
Christina has discovered that being an active member in the community is a key to staying happy. She is a member of the National Organization for Women, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Christina also participated in the building of a non-profit organization called the Kalkaska Citizen's for Animals in Kalkaska Michigan. Christina has also been involved in United Way, Meals on Wheels, Kalkaska Long Term Care, and has begun a volunteer venture in Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Besides politics, Christina has other interests which include, euchre, trying to keep her house plants alive, trekking about in the outdoors, listening to good music, getting lost in a good book, and meeting interesting and not-so-interesting people.
