Kristen Walters
Kristen welcomes you to read her posts here.
Kristen Walters is a senior at Kansas State University with an English literature major and a women's studies minor. She's hoping to go to graduate school to pursue a masters degree in women's / cultural studies.
She would like to someday work for a non-profit feminist organization like a crisis center, or have a career that focuses on promoting women's rights and equality.
Kristen is very interested in women's studies. She's interested in a broad range of women's issues from sexual and reproductive rights, workplace rights, to educational equality among the sexes. She wants to spread awareness of women's issues and is interested in promoting women's rights and overall equal human rights.
After being a lifelong resident of Kansas, she has decided it was time to take a more active role in her community, and writing for Kansas Free Press is a vehicle to do that. We're very honored that this young activist writes at the Kansas Free Press!
She is also a bookworm, avid movie watcher and coffee addict. Kristen says that she dislikes most vegetables, Fred Phelps and snakes.
